Is it possible to change emails addresses of sharepoint users?
Users I have added are domain users and they have got email addresses from the active directory. I wanna know is it possible to change those email addresses from the Sharepoint itself but not from the active directory.
Yes. you can. Let me know what's the version you are using ? Are you using sharepoint services 3 or sharepoint server 2007? Login as a admin manually you can change the address.

It is my understanding that you cant change users emails in ur case form MOSS it self. MOSS use Exchnage only as your email engine and AD to authenticate. So modyfying an AD property in this case your users email addess will not be possible. But however if u have configured incomming email in MOSS/WSS it will give you the option to have contacts created in ur AD which sharepoint can modify. .

There are two ways to perform this
1. In SSP, Under User Profile and Properties, you can update new email address on field "work email" ( this effect globally)
2. Using Custom Application, you can update Site level uers email address
