hi guys,

I have a windows 2000 licenced terminal server where around 50 users connect & work through windows XP workstation. One user is still having a win 98 PC as we have another old software which runs only in win 98, and that user also now needs to connect to the terminal server, therefore I installed terminal server client in that win 98 PC, but I can't connect it to the TS through RDP, it gives a licence error, at the same time, I tried to connect through a win xp pc thinking that licenced connection has been exceeded, no ! it works, can anybody please tell me if there is anymore things to be done with win 98 treminal server client in order to get connecte to the TS.

 Many thanks

Gayan

Hi Gayan,

Reason for this is even though the Windows XP has the bilt in client licence (CAL) Windows 98 doesn't have that in built. So in this case you will have to buy a terminal client licence for the Windows 98 Work station.
