PC boot Problem in XP

I am using windows XP as my PC O/S.  Now there is a problem with bootup. when I power on the PC it come to the login prompt, After entering User name & password it is going to logging off & again come to the Login Screen( For Enter the User Name & Password ).  It couldn't start using  lastknown good configuration option or Safe mode option. After previous method I try to boot with xp cd &  go to dos prompt. then put a checkdisk ( chkdsk ) for hard disk errors. But still my problem not resolved.

So any one Know to resolve this problem please give me a solution for this problem....

Hi,

Since your system is not crashing this is most probably a virus/trojan/malware.

Dear Nilhan,

I also think it may be virus/trojan/malware. But I can't do for viruses in this time.  Because PC is don't come to the desktop. Tell me how can I go to the desktop without any data file curruption ( There is important documents )

Hi amila,

If it is a virus and if your documents are important i suggest you take a backup of the hard-drive asap. Maybe by connecting it to another pc.

But you can try few simpler things: like holding Shift key until the logon process finishes. This forces winxp to skip loading all its startup programs. See this article for more details:
