Want to connect remotly to the Vista / Win7

I have windows XP. I want to remotely connect to the vista & win 7 client pcs. Currently I used VNC Viewer 4.1.2 & it is free edition. But I couldn't use that to Vista or Win7 So If any one know any free remote software supported XP to the vista or win7 reply me soon..........

I have windows XP pc in my Head office. Some of my branch offices have win7 & vista PCs. Actually I want to control that pcs from my Head office. (Trouble shooting, like software installation/Email configuration..... ect) I want to remotely connect to the above pcs from that XP machine. If you know some software like VNC Pl replies me soon..................

Want to disable windows explorer address bar

I have Domain in my office. I created One specify domain user Account, That users have to open only one specify software. It’s icon at the desktop (couldn't access any other software or any drive, can't use Start Menu, My computer icon at the desktop ). After open my computer they have to access only one mapped drive. ( I hide C:\, D:\, E:\ , CD Drive using by GPO & Disable USB also ).They save there documents in that mapped drive. They were access our internal websites after open My Computer by using windows explorer address bar. I want to stop that also.

So anyone know to disable address bar on widows explorer or know to resolve my problem reply me soon.

PC boot Problem in XP

I am using windows XP as my PC O/S. Now there is a problem with bootup. when I power on the PC it come to the login prompt, After entering User name & password it is going to logging off & again come to the Login Screen( For Enter the User Name & Password ). It couldn't start using lastknown good configuration option or Safe mode option. After previous method I try to boot with xp cd & go to dos prompt. then put a checkdisk ( chkdsk ) for hard disk errors. But still my problem not resolved.

So any one Know to resolve this problem please give me a solution for this problem....

Can't Open the C:\ drive

When I open the C:\ drive in my computer dispaly below mentioned error message always. If anyone know to recover this error please give me a solution. I am using kespersky as my virus guard & I put a full scan for viruses.

Denying access to some domain workstations

Hello everybody,

We have a windows 2000 domain. I have a requirement that some member computers in the domain should not be accessed by anyone over the network, including domain admins. In otherwords, no one should not be able to access those over the network. Domain group policies wont work because it can be modified by domain admins. I thought of XPSP2/XPSP3 windows firewall and leave 'File and printer sharing' unticked in 'exceptions' tab.

Do you guys have any comments on this? Is this safe enough? Or still domain admins can access those computers? Or is there a way domain admins can turn the firewall off without physically login to those computers? Or do you have any better solution which meets my requirement? Please let me know your ideas and suggestions.

how to do port forwarding from LPT port

hey Am connecting to a remote computer in another location via Remote Desktop. I have a printer installed in my local machine. when i connect to the Remote desktop machine i get my local printer as a Session printer in the printers folder. Everything works fine when i print. But the problem is i h ave a program which is very old and it runs in dos. the program is designed to print to the LPT port of the printer. When i send a print to that i cannot print beacuse the session printer selects the IP port that i am using remote desktop. I changed the port in the printer prop to LPT as well but still doesnt print.. can anyone help me over this..

Hi Guys,

When Microsoft launched Windows Vista while they had a pretty descent operating system (Windows XP) alot of people asked me whether it is the end of Windows XP, since even today there are millions of people who are still using Windows XP due to many reasons, to name a few..

Insufficient hardware
Application Incompatibility, etc.

Windows XP which was launched in October 2001 got its second service pack in year 2004 and from 2004 till to date Microsoft didnt realease service pack 3. For those who are still using Windows XP and worried thinking that Microosft will let them loose, here is a good news,

Microsoft will be releasing a Windows XP Service Pack 3 soon... Maybe next year...

According to Microsoft the releasing date is not yet confirmed but the roadmap for microosft products mentions that there will be a Service Pack releasing for Windows XP in year 2008.

Windows XP Service Pack 3 will contain some new features and all the updates, security patches, hot fixes etc since SP2..

some of the added features will be,

MMC 3.0
MSXML 6.0
BITS 2.5
Windows Installer 3.1

these are previously released stuff which will be bunddled up with the New Service Pack,

But there are some New features that will be bunddled with it too, features like,

Network Address Protection (NAP) - this is a new policy enforcement platform built in WIndows Server 2008 which is supposed to be released next year. This particular feature will be included in Windows XP SP3 so that XP will also work with this feature like Windows Vista in a Windows Server 2008 network envioronment.

With SP3 you will be able to install Windows XP without providing a Product key like Windows Vista and at a later stage maybe between the first 30 days you will have to provide the product key in order to use further.

These are some of the features which are scheduled to come with Windows XP Service Pack 3...

I got a new laptop form Itely. It comes with preinstalled Windows Vista Home Premium (Itelian Version). The OS on the laptop ( Vista Home Premium ) comes with a licence and is genuine. can I change it to English Version.( Itelian version to English version)

Printing Problem

we have a network printer shared to 6 computers. When we try to print from one of the computers, the file size is indicated far bigger than the actual size of the printing file and it takes a long time to print. But from other computers its printed normally. What could be the cause of this problem. It would be a great help if anyone could help in this issue
